About the role

As the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the quality of our rehabilitation programs. You will lead a team of dedicated therapists and support staff to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include program development, staff management, budget oversight, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to achieve the hospital's rehabilitation goals.

This is a full-time, 40-hour weekly position based at Elmhurst Center for Health (Outpatient) - 1200 S York St, with travel required to other Elmhurst sites, Addison, and Hinsdale. The schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and direction to the rehabilitation services team, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered culture.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs and initiatives to meet the needs of patients, physicians, and the community.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise rehabilitation therapists and support staff, ensuring a high standard of care and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of rehabilitation services through ongoing assessment, performance evaluations, and implementing best practices.
  • Oversee the department's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective operations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with state and federal regulations, accreditation requirements, and industry trends to maintain compliance and enhance services.
  • Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation programs, treatment options, and progress expectations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients' needs and concerns within the hospital and the community.
  • Prepare and present reports on departmental performance and outcomes to hospital leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy, required.
  • Master’s Degree, preferred.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in rehabilitation services, required.
  • Prior experience managing an outpatient clinic with direct reports.
  • Current licensure to practice Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy in the state of Illinois, required.
