Manager, Quality Control - Mortgage Risk Advisory

Responsibilities
- Manage and train quality control staff members.
- Support the pre-funding and post-closing quality control and due diligence functions.
- Develop and manage Quality Assurance reviews for all auditors for Post-closing and Pre-funding.
- Recommend quality and general operational improvements based on review of findings and auditor scorecards.
- Prioritize job/staff responsibilities, provide assignments, meet required deadlines, and develop project plans and/or schedules.
- Monitor regulatory changes and updates, keeping staff informed.
- Ensure confidential information and private customer information is secure.
- Review a high volume of loan activity while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy.
- Recognize and relay irregularities and concerns to appropriate management staff.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to internal/external staff and customers regarding underwriting and compliance in relation to credit risk.
- Provide input on processes, procedures, and/or new approaches.
- Work effectively, interact, and multi-task professionally with clients and employees to ensure high-quality customer service internally and externally.
- Resolve customer concerns and issues related to work product.
- Determine Quality-Control trends and issues and implement solutions as required.
- Coach others on Quality-Control issues, problems, and/or questions.
- Apply in-depth understanding of both State and Federal Compliance regulations.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment on critical business matters with significant financial impact.
- Prepare and/or update quality control/quality assurance procedures and manuals that establish quality control standard methods and procedures for specific lending functions.
- Identify and document when company standards or regulations have not been followed, ensuring loan files delivered within required time frames are complete and accurate.
- Directly supervise Quality Control Auditors and oversee output such as reports, audit selection, customer rebuttals, report preparation, and pre-report delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality Control.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5 years of Mortgage Credit Underwriting or Post-Closing QC auditor experience.
- 5 years of Management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the Quality Control function with regards to FNMA, FHLMC, FHA/VA, USDA requirements.
- Experience performing and reviewing Pre- and Post-Close reviews, Repurchase reviews, Early Payment Default, and Red Flag/Fraud Reviews.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements for real estate lending.
- Ability to assess the accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness of loan documents.
- Ability to create and administer Auditor training; develop and maintain auditor scorecards and performance standards.

Pay
The pay rate range for this position is $96,600 to $221,300. Actual compensation is influenced by skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location.
