About the role

The primary focus of this role is the delivery of the IT Global Product Development & Supply portfolio. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of assigned projects supporting IT for the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) function, reporting to the Director, GPS IT Portfolio Delivery Lead. You will orchestrate project efforts across a broad set of stakeholders and sponsors, ensuring project commitments are met with urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver project management services to clients
  • Actively engage in all phases of the project life cycle from initiation to closure
  • Assist in preparation of project charters, business cases, and related artifacts
  • Develop communication plans, RACIs, project governance, and related deliverables
  • Collaborate with enterprise, site, and cross-functional project teams to gather and analyze tasks
  • Become technically familiar with manufacturing initiatives driven per enterprise-site IT roadmaps
  • Review all body of work, create detailed work breakdown structure (WBS) across swim-lanes
  • Build integrated plan with critical path dependencies and key milestones
  • Perform sprint planning and drive sprint-like schedules for iterative requirements gathering and application development
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure project momentum is maintained
  • Create RAID logs, communicate in a timely fashion, bring visibility, and drive resolution
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve obstacles to drive project progress
  • Support creation of estimates, manage and evaluate budgetary impact of proposed changes
  • Prepare implementation plans and socialize them ahead of time per developed communication plan
  • Follow up on all project activities with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with committed activities
  • Track progress against baseline plan, create status reports, and present updates to stakeholders
  • Develop, secure, and maintain all project deliverables in collaboration sites
  • Coach, lead, and manage Project Coordinators/Integration Managers (where applicable)
  • Work both independently and in a team environment
  • Consult and align application, infrastructure, manufacturing sites, and departmental teams
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across IT Organizations, Operating Units, and Vendor teams
  • Acquire and maintain sufficient domain knowledge and participate in documenting strategy definitions
  • Exercise sound judgment in making decisions and recommendations within defined practices and policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Science, Information Systems Management, or related field and 3-6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience implementing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for Electronic Batch Record, Manufacturing Systems Architecture (MSA), Supply Chain, Data & Analytics, Product Development, MS&T, etc., is a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of, and experience in, project management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • A solid understanding of how projects are planned and executed
  • Proven leadership skills and track record of success in managing IT projects
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and an understanding of drug development and manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with GPS-related platforms and adjacent tools such as MES, SAP, Veeva Vault, LIMS, Mfg. Automation Systems, and collaboration technologies preferred
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Agile/PMP certification is a plus
  • Competency in Microsoft Project, Outlook, MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Visio, Kanban planners
  • Experience with software development methodologies and requirements-gathering techniques such as Agile (Scrum, SAFe, etc.) and Waterfall is preferred
  • Experience using Agile tooling suites (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and knowledge in requirement grooming sessions, sprint planning, sprint retrospective, task creation, and collaborating with stakeholders is a plus

Pay

New Brunswick - NJ - US: $97,920 - $118,656
Princeton - NJ - US: $97,920 - $118,656

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Schedule

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This role may be:

  • Site-essential: Requires 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility
  • Site-by-design: Eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility (onsite presence is considered essential for collaboration, innovation, productivity, and culture)
  • Field-based or Remote-by-design: Ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients, or business partners and attend meetings as directed is an essential job function
