About the role

The common capabilities team is the foundational engine that accelerates successful development of Capital One's modern credit card system by enabling data abstraction, data quality and tooling for our partners to scale state of the art customer billing system.

Responsibilities

You will support the design and delivery of a modern, extensible, and well managed products. You will succeed if you are able to apply systems thinking to understand the platform, business, and broader technical architecture holistically, and partner with Engineering to drive the full development lifecycle. Your work will deliver foundational capabilities that power updated card processing platforms across Capital One.

Qualifications

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: - A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field), Business or Marketing
  • OR
  • Bachelor's degree in any field and 3 years of Product Management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

  • Mclean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management

Schedule

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

Pay

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
