What You'll Do

  • Management
    • Provides leadership and direction to the product management team ensuring the achievement of operational goals and financial targets.
    • Directs, manages, selects, trains, motivates, reviews, coaches, develops, and retains a high-performance team.
    • Counsels the product management team, conducts timely and accurate employee performance evaluations; addresses performance issues as needed.
    • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and intra-departmental communications; maintains managerial relationships by encouraging and providing a timely, two-way flow of information between subordinates, management, directors, senior management, and user groups.
    • Ensures compliance in Health, Environment & Safety/Quality in all areas of operations; ensures company policies and guidelines, as set forth in the Corporate Human Resources Policy manual are followed.
  • Budget Strategies
    • Develops and administers product management budget for product portfolio, including reviewing previous year’s budget/expenses and forecasting short and long-range budgeting needs.
    • Authorizes expense reports; approves and manages expenditures; ensures expenditures are in alignment with approved budget.
  • Market Sensing & Customer Interface
    • Explores the boundaries of what’s possible to improve water flow technology and finds innovative ways to learnings to benefit customers.
    • Gathers information on competitive activity in the marketplace; incorporates intelligence into operational and strategic planning process.
    • Be the primary interface for customers for business unit. As such, responsible for communicating the voice of the market and customer to their team and stakeholders. Establishes and maintains relationships with customers, industry influencers and strategic partners.
  • Product vision and strategy
    • Responsible for setting and owning the product vision and strategy.
    • Holds responsibility over the development and launch of new products or advancements on existing products.
  • Product roadmaps and release management
    • Develops product communication strategies and implements integrated communication plans to improve customer’s awareness of our products together with the product management team.
    • Executes product strategies and guides product management practices. Builds project management practices and methodologies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration
    • Works closely with sales to effectively develop partnerships in order to understand market needs as well as meet customer needs.
    • Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that product development aligns with business strategy.

    What You Bring

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
    • Experience: 8+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
    • Skills: Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Total Rewards Package

      • Compensation
        • Base: $134,000 - $174,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
        • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
