About the role
This role contributes to the product strategy and roadmap for a defined product area, managing a team while working under the direction of leadership.
Responsibilities
- Perform management responsibilities including hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management, and staff productivity.
- Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary.
- Support leadership in developing and refining product strategy and roadmaps.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in requirement definition and backlog management executed by product management team.
- Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies.
- Manage product development process across portfolio of products.
- Support the product management team as they facilitate the process for their individual products within the portfolio.
- Ensure quality and strategic foresight across the portfolio.
- Engage with customers and users to gather feedback and understand their needs.
- Participate in user testing and other research activities.
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Collaborate effectively with the product management team.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in the healthcare sector and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in product management, product development, or a related field.
- 3 years of leadership experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in product managing technical solutions, platforms, or complex systems.
- Proven ability to analyze, optimize, and map business processes, particularly in a healthcare or operations context, to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for technological intervention.
- Experience with data-driven decision-making, including the use of metrics to assess product performance and operational impact.
- Experience in healthcare industry.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Prior experience with clinical or case management systems, workflow automation, or enterprise-level healthcare technology platforms.
- Background in solutions architecture, business analysis with a technical focus, or engineering management is a plus.
