Product Management at Capital One is a dynamic field focused on reimagining traditional approaches, discovering value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy predictive risk models and investigate Generative AI models.
  • Contribute to defining the technologies and experiences needed for the BC&P Line of Business, supporting small business customers.
  • Work across teams to build products that enable seamless and scalable models, influencing strategic decisions, and fostering a thriving product practice.
  • Partner with leaders across BC&P, data science, and engineering teams to reduce the time it takes to bring models to market.
  • Deliver machine learning requirements to define new architecture patterns across the Card Intelligence portfolio.
  • Balance business and technology product requirements to drive consensus across partners.
  • Use systems thinking to design and deliver machine learning platforms, tools, and standards on a cross-functional team.
  • Help manage prioritization and investment with cross-function teams to balance retraining, refitting, and rebuilding models with operating the current models.
  • Define and operate a product pod across data science and technology teams to drive standard agile management practices, while communicating with senior management stakeholders.

Requirements

A candidate who is intellectually curious and emphasizes personal learning and development, a self-starter who can execute in ambiguous situations by independently aligning core problem statements across stakeholders, and leads with empathy and adjusts well to new information – we work in a complex space that is constantly evolving!

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management.
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
    • An MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products.

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

  • Mclean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management
  • New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Manager, Product Management
