Pricing Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies for both air and sea freight.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor rates, and market capacity to optimize pricing structures.
- Adjust pricing models based on market fluctuations and customer demand.
Carrier & Supplier Relations
- Negotiate rates with airlines, shipping lines, and NVOCCs.
- Build long-term partnerships with carriers to secure favorable terms and reliable capacity.
Business Development Support
- Provide timely and accurate quotations to the sales team.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to align pricing with business growth objectives.
- Identify new market niches and opportunities for expansion.
Operational Efficiency
- Strategically manage available freight capacity to balance cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, IATA standards, and shipping laws.
Leadership & Reporting
- Lead the pricing team, fostering a culture of accuracy, agility, and customer focus.
- Prepare pricing reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in freight pricing, procurement, or operations (air & sea).
- Strong negotiation skills with proven success in securing competitive rates.
- In-depth knowledge of global freight markets, IATA regulations, and shipping practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Strategic thinking with commercial acumen.
- Ability to balance profitability with customer satisfaction.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in pricing tools, ERP systems, and data analytics.
