Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. This world-renowned entertainment, gaming, and hospitality destination features a $1.5 billion expansion completed in 2019, including 1,271 upscale guestrooms, a 42,000 square-foot Rock Spa® & Salon, 19 dining outlets, 20 bars and lounges, a 13.5-acre recreational lagoon, and a 7,000-person Hard Rock Live entertainment venue. The resort is located on 87 acres of the Hollywood Seminole Reservation, 10 minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of Executive and Casino Hosts and other marketing areas as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all electronic gaming machines, player tracking systems, promotions, events, entertainment, and general property information.
  • Work with the Special Events department to plan, coordinate, and execute targeted events for Mid Level and VIP Level guests.
  • Assist the Director of Player Development in supervising, coaching, developing, and evaluating Executive and Casino Hosts and PD Coordinators.
  • Assist with hiring, training, supply management, payroll, and scheduling.
  • Perform Player’s Club and administrative functions efficiently.
  • Monitor activities that could affect departmental efficiencies, including internal controls, rules, regulations, and equipment maintenance.
  • Promote Hard Rock Hotel and Casino by interacting with customers in an enthusiastic and helpful manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company documents.
  • Ensure consistent service standards are maintained.
  • Resolve customer complaints and take appropriate action.
  • Investigate issues related to customer service and make recommendations to improve service.
  • Communicate service standards to staff and train staff to perform to those standards.
  • Coach, train, administer discipline, and assist with annual performance appraisals.
  • Review and approve recorded time worked in accordance with schedules.
  • Assist in interviews for new staff.
  • Conduct themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of casino marketing experience is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

  • May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and taste or smell.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
