Job Summary

As our Pharmacy Manager, you will lead and supervise the pharmacy team, meticulously reviewing and authorizing prescriptions for safety, overseeing efficient workflow, and consulting with doctors and nurses to troubleshoot medication issues. You will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, proven leadership, and an analytical mind for process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Meticulously review and authorize prescriptions for safety (interactions, dosing, allergies)
  • Oversee efficient workflow from authorization to dispensing
  • Consult with doctors and nurses to troubleshoot medication issues
  • Develop and provide educational programs, learning modules, and knowledge assessment tools
  • Collaborate with health care providers to individualize medication therapies
  • Participate in medical staff and service line meetings to meet patient care needs
  • Train and assist pharmacy technicians and other support staff
  • Supervise purchasing, storing, preparing, and dispensing of all medications and parenteral products
  • Work with the Pharmacy Director/VP to identify and develop processes to meet or exceed controlled substance diversion prevention and monitoring standards
  • Supervise and assist with disaster team drills and real-event responses
  • Maintain appropriate controlled substance records
  • Assist in performance evaluation and competency assessment of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Educate other health care professionals regarding medications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required. Advanced or Master's degree preferred (e.g., Pharm.D.)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Pharmacist in an acute care setting
  • Doctor of Pharmacy with minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Pharmacist
  • Masters with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership position or pharmacy residency completed
  • Pharmacist AZ license
  • Registered Pharmacist license. Oversight for an acute care facility requires licensure in the state in which you practice.

We are offering relocation and a $25k sign on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
