Manager of Pharmacy Operations

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Operations Manager supports the Director of Pharmacy in managing pharmacy operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures
• Supervision and training of staff
• Inventory management
• Quality assurance and regulatory compliance
• Aid in managing pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable
• Proactively prioritize needs and manage resources
• Communicate clearly and concisely
• Make decisions based on job knowledge and experience
• Consider all impacted areas in decision-making process
• Seek advice when necessary
• Establish and maintain long-term customer relationships

Qualifications

• Education/Licensure/Certifications: B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy, A Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy is preferred. Current Pharmacy license. Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required. PALS preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist or 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience. Completion of hospital PGY2/pharmacy specialty residency or fellowship. Specialty BCPS certification or certification (e.g. FCCP, FASHP). Hospital Pharmacy Management experience is preferred.
