Manager Patient Care Services 2, RN - Behavioral Health Unit - Mount Sinai West
About the role
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Nursing (required)
- Masters required (enrolled in a program will be considered)
- 3-5 years nursing clinical care with Charge Nurse/Supervisory experience preferred
- Current NY State Registered Nurse License and Registration
- BLS-American Heart Association
Skills
Proficiency in the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care and the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
Proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR).
Experience in leading interdisciplinary quality improvement teams.
Ability to interpret and communicate patient experience scores and benchmarks.
Experience in interpreting and implementing collective bargaining agreements.
