About the role
Manages the control, accuracy, storage and replenishment of materials within the production facility and external stocking locations. Develops and implements visual management systems throughout supermarket, receiving, and cell locations. Uses data to compile and analyze information used in developing the plan for every part (PFEP). Audits, analyzes and reports on adherence, constraints and issues that may impact implementation, applying forward-thinking, solution-based problem solving. This position will have 3-5 direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Leads Materials and Receiving teams in plant.
- Develops, implements, and maintains optimum material flow technologies.
- Creates visual representations of material flow and designs optimum PFEP to create optimal flow through the three facilities.
- Tracks inventory trends and reports to management on root cause analysis and problem-solving strategies.
- Ensures effective systems are in place to maximize material flow and minimize expenses to the Company.
- Acts as a bridge between purchasing, scheduling and production planning to ensure material is available in the right production sequence.
- Partners with departments to mitigate shortages.
- Partners with engineering to identify alternate materials if delivery would delay production or lead to an increase in excess inventory.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience working in materials / materials management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with LEAN material control systems.

- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities and quickly adapt in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Work Environment
- May be required to perform tasks involving standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling.
- Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs).
- Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.

Pay
$98,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year.
