Responsibilities
- Identify efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Accountable for maintaining budgets and expenses for the Materials Management Team, including hiring and compensation decisions.
- Analyze production data and trends to forecast future demand and adjust production schedules accordingly.
- Responsible for the Sterling facility, creating department goals and KPIs, and managing performance to assigned targets.
- Work closely with quality teams to maintain quality standards and minimize defects.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are met by all team members.
- Train and mentor staff in Materials Management best practices and safety procedures.
- Share best practices amongst all North American facilities.
- Foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment to achieve production targets and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Materials Management or similar field.
- 6+ years of experience working in Materials Management.
- Familiarity with version management, development, and debugging tools.
- Customer-centric focus with a proven track record of building lasting relationships.
- Strong coordination and deadline-oriented skills, adaptable in leading or contributing to multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficient in translating market research into clear strategies for targeted segments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP, analytic tools, and sound product management fundamentals.
