Manager of Project and Change Management
About the Role
The Manager of Project and Change Management plays a key leadership role in advancing the maturity of the Jackson Lewis Program Management Office (PMO) while leading members of the PMO team and establishing the firm's organizational change management capability. Reporting to and partnering with the Director of PMO, you will help evolve PMO standards, governance, methodologies, and team capabilities to enable successful execution of strategic initiatives across the firm.
Responsibilities
People & PMO Process Leadership
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Program Managers.
- Establish performance expectations, career development plans, and coaching opportunities that foster continuous growth.
- Provide guidance on project execution, stakeholder engagement, governance, and delivery excellence.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Partner with the Director of PMO to define, implement, and mature enterprise PMO standards, tools, and best practices.
- Help mature project governance, portfolio management processes, project delivery methodologies, and reporting standards.
- Support strategic planning activities and portfolio governance.
PMO Change Management
- Build and mature the PMO’s Change Management capability.
- Develop repeatable Change Management methodologies, frameworks, templates, and best practices that can be applied across strategic projects and programs.
- Establish standards for stakeholder engagement, communications, training, readiness assessments, adoption measurement, and reinforcement activities.
- Partner with business leaders, HR, Communications, Learning & Development, and Technology teams to ensure successful adoption of new capabilities.
Project & Program Leadership
As business priorities require, serve as the Project or Program Manager and lead cross-functional, complex, enterprise-wide initiatives, such as:
- Identity and access management and cybersecurity initiatives (e.g., passwordless authentication)
- Enterprise operating system upgrades and endpoint modernization
- Intranet and digital workplace modernization
- Implementation of enterprise service management tools and shared services transformation
- Business development & proposal management solutions and go-to-market strategy initiatives
Responsibilities may include:
- Establishing governance structures and executive reporting.
- Managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Facilitating executive steering committees and decision-making forums.
- Ensuring successful delivery and organizational adoption of strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 7+ years of enterprise project and program management experience.
- Experience developing project management standards, governance, and methodologies.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving technology and business teams.
- Proven knowledge and experience in Change Management.
- Leadership experience onboarding and managing project managers or project delivery teams.
- Familiarity with Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, CAPM, CSM, or comparable project management certification.
- Experience in a professional services or law firm environment.
- Prosci Change Management Certification or equivalent.
Pay
For New York and San Francisco metro area, the expected salary range for this position is between $170,000 and $198,450. For Illinois and Massachusetts, the expected salary range is between $156,000 and $181,912.50. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for annual bonuses.
