Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with frequent evenings, weekends, and holidays as recruiting demands.

About the role

This position assists the Executive Director of Player Personnel with daily management of all service and support functions for Oklahoma State University Football Recruiting. The Manager creates and monitors a database of Prospective Student-Athletes who have triggered recruited status under NCAA IAWP and IAWRP rules, assists with all home games, and develops relationships with prospective student-athletes and their families to enhance recruiting success.

The role manages all aspects of campus visits—both unofficial and official—including travel logistics for official visits and coordination of game-day visits. Responsibilities include conducting campus tours, arranging academic visits with academic staff, coordinating with OSU Admissions Officers, and completing, filing, and reporting all visit-related information to the OSU Compliance office.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a database of Prospective Student-Athletes who meet NCAA recruited-status criteria.
  • Assist with all home football games and recruiting events.
  • Develop relationships with prospective student-athletes and their families during campus visits.
  • Manage all aspects of unofficial and official campus visits, including travel arrangements for official visits.
  • Coordinate game-day visits and related activities.
  • Conduct campus tours for recruits and families.
  • Arrange academic visits with OSU academic staff and coordinate with Admissions Officers.
  • Complete, file, and report all recruiting-visit documentation to the OSU Compliance office.
  • Stay current with recruiting trends and keep coaching staff informed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field (must be conferred by start date).
  • Three years of experience in football recruiting, office/administrative roles, or a related field.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity and compliance with NCAA and Big XII rules.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling abilities.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to stay updated on recruiting current events and relay information to coaches.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • NCAA Division I-A recruiting experience.
  • Knowledge of recruiting platforms such as 24/7, Rivals, Scout, and Hudl.
