About the role

Manager of Health Programs is responsible for overseeing all operational services/systems of the Health Programs, including Health Care for All, HRSN (Health Related Social Needs), Healthy Homes, and other programs/new grants, under the supervision of Assoc Director of Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all high level aspects of the Healthy Homes Program: strategy, vision, and goals
  • Develop, update, and maintain policies and procedures and program handbooks
  • Ensure that the HRSN Healthy Homes and Healthy Homes program is in compliance with statutory and contractual requirements, and policies are being observed and administered by the staff to provide proper delivery of services of the highest quality
  • Hire, train, and manage staff in the Healthy Homes Program
  • Aid Healthy Homes Coordinators with program logistics, administrative and translation support
  • Aid with operation of the HRSN Healthy Homes program and Health Care for All
  • Become proficient in the Hyphen and Kintone databases
  • In partnership with the Vice President of Operations & Finance, assist with yearly budget and required reporting
  • Maintain open communication, both written and verbal with the all staff
  • Responsible for evaluating and reporting on the program in weekly internal and external meetings
  • Act in accordance with standards of excellence at all times including maintaining professional ethics, client confidentiality
  • Participate in weekly team and staff meetings as appropriate
  • Attend trainings and/or workshops as assigned
  • Bring forward ideas and suggestions
  • Support broad mission and policy efforts and initiatives of RCDC
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned related to organizational mission and programs
  • Seek out professional development opportunities for themselves and their staff

Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years of management experience in a related industry required
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work and engage successfully in a multi-cultural setting with a diverse client and volunteer population
  • Demonstrated competence in service coordination and networking with other human service and healthcare providers
  • Ability to work cooperatively and supportively with other staff as a member of the team
  • Strong organization, oral and written and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the social determinants of health
  • Must be able to lift 20
  • Ability to organize and maintain appropriate records and documentation
  • Submit reports, contracts, and billing information to designated staff and or funding sources
  • Ability to think creatively with excellent problem-solving skills and share ideas
  • Support other programs and staff as needed

  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity and the needs of individuals with low incomes
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include at times, evenings or weekends depending on the organization’s needs

Specific Requirements

  • This position will be assigned duties that require the operation of a motor vehicle
  • The incumbent must maintain access to a motor vehicle and possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Massachusetts with proof of insurance
