Manager of Environmental Services

Salary Pay Range: $95,000 - $108,000

About the role

This position directs the activities of workers engaged in maintenance operations, including repair, refurbishment, maintenance of the physical structure, housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and custodial services. Bilingual English & Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, plan, and implement new methods and procedures to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
• Assist with preparing the department budget, review financial transactions, and monitor projected expenditures to ensure efficient operation and adherence to budget limitations.
• Confer with management, engineering consultants, and quality control personnel to resolve environmental service problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions within the facility.
• Review production, quality control, operating reports, and statistics to plan and modify environmental service activities.
• Manage team members in both English and Spanish languages.
• Oversee maintenance activities on utility and communications systems, including heat, steam, electric power, gas, air, HVAC, telephone, fire alarms, and emergency alerts.
• Develop a preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
• Manage emergency and special housekeeping needs as required.
• Manage and inspect the work of outside contractors; report and correct deficiencies, ensuring compliance with community maintenance standards.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (or equivalent qualifications).
• 7 years of experience in facility maintenance and repairs, including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, locksmith, painting, and general repairs.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience working in a senior living community.

$95,000 - $108,000

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
