About the role
A healthcare organization in Queens is seeking a Manager of Environmental Services to oversee evening operations and ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained hospital environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EVS leader to step into a highly visible management role with direct impact on patient experience and hospital operations.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily Environmental Services department operations
- Managing staffing, scheduling, and attendance for EVS team members
- Ensuring cleaning standards, including terminal cleaning compliance, are met
- Monitoring supply and linen inventory to support hospital needs
- Evaluating staff performance and conducting employee reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Previous Environmental Services management experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of environmental services regulations, procedures, and compliance standards
- Experience working in a union or unionized environment strongly preferred
Pay
$75,000 - $90,000 annually, plus shift differential (if applicable)
