Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Insights professional to join our team as a Manager of Consumer Insights. You will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of brand strategies to drive business growth.

About the Role

This role will be based out of our new headquarters in Waltham, MA. Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Fridays being remote, flex days.

What You'll Do

  • Give input into the consumer learning plan to support the Brand & Innovation team.
  • Lead insights projects with key stakeholders and external partners.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and visibility within the Brand & Innovation team and other key cross-functional partners.
  • Focus on innovation and identifying opportunities/threats for our core business across two current categories. Additionally, identify and develop new opportunities with our Transformational Innovation and Licensing teams.
  • Work closely with Brand and R&D to identify new product opportunities and validate/recommend optimization for new product prototypes and reformulations.
  • Own our suite of primary research platform partners (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Manage funding, relationships, renewals and termination of current partners and identify new partners where needed.
  • Enhance the Consumer Segmentation Playbook by integrating additional data sources and deepening the insights available to the Brand & Innovation team.
  • Leverage a custom AI platform to optimize our research library, conduct analyses and identify other opportunities to leverage the tool.
  • Modernize and manage the idea and product testing databases by transferring them to Smartsheet (or similar program).
  • Ensure that all historical and new tests are organized, searchable, and regularly updated.
  • You will roll up your sleeves to get the job done with speed, accuracy and knowledge of cutting-edge research techniques.

Who You Are

  • Curious and knowledgeable about how consumers make decisions, especially for new products and the impact on the core business.
  • Strong research technical skills (i.e., leverage DIY research platforms, screener/survey development, data quality validation, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate "consumer learning" into actionable recommendations for business growth.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Very organized and able to effectively prioritize and lead projects.
  • Able to anticipate and overcome obstacles with the desire to deliver results.
  • Focuses on setting stretch goals and plans to achieve them.
  • Develops meaningful relationships and collaborates across departments.
  • Consistently questions the way things have always been done and challenges courageously for improved methodologies.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields such as psychology, marketing, anthropology, statistics and an MBA preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience that proves ability to perform role may be considered.
  • 5+ years of related Consumer Insights experience.
  • Food and Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is a plus.
  • A foundational knowledge of the Consumer Insights industry with what partners have to offer, especially quick-turn solutions.
  • Knowledge in areas such as quantitative and qualitative techniques, new product development, measuring success in market and how to track progress.
  • Strong ability to simply and clearly communicate about insights with passion, understanding and candor.

Pay

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $120,000- $130,000 annually for US-based employees.
