Manager Medical Staff Services REMOTE
Job Summary
Manages the Medical Staff Services department for Children's Wisconsin (Managed Care, Fox Valley, Milwaukee, and Surgicenter facilities), as well as Medical and Professional Health Staff affairs.
Works to increase provider effectiveness and satisfaction by facilitating system changes that assist providers' efforts to provide the best and safest care.
Responsibilities
- Administers the provider performance evaluation programs
- Facilitates system changes to support providers' efforts to provide the best and safest care
- Oversees credentialing and privileging of providers
- Works to increase provider effectiveness and satisfaction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's Degree in health related field and a comprehensive knowledge of hospital and health care systems and information technology preferred
- 5+ years of work within a health care system, with demonstrated knowledge of medical staff affairs, governance documents, employee management and direction of complex projects required
- Previous experience with credentialing and privileging, data management, analytics and reporting required
- Experience in staff management, performance coaching, delegation of responsibilities, budget preparation and financial management required
- Previous experience and demonstrated ability to positively interact with health care providers required
- Understanding and experience in quality improvement and change management concepts required

- Must be able to effectively communicate with providers, colleagues, hospital administration, superiors, and subordinates and develop and present information concisely and coherently
- Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Agility, adaptability, flexibility, patience and ability to deal with ambiguity and complex issues
- Ability to act independently and complete projects from beginning to end with minimal supervision
- Analytical ability/skills to analyze data trends and to proactively problem-solve
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
