About the role
HUNTER is seeking a Media Manager (Senior Account Executive-level) to join its Tech Team based in either NYC or Los Angeles. This position works closely with a Senior Media Director and Vice President, Media to develop and execute media strategies for clients.
Responsibilities
- Be a Headline Junkie: Stay updated on consumer, technology, entertainment, and lifestyle media trends and identify opportunities for clients.
- Understand Emerging Platforms: Navigate niche platforms like Substacks, podcasts, and digital news creators, and understand their impact on media consumption.
- Secure the Coverage: Develop and implement media strategies, pitch stories, manage media lists, and track campaign performance.
- Navigate the New: Stay informed about emerging media technologies and AI-driven content discovery, and integrate these insights into media campaigns.
- Drive Collaboration: Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new business and existing accounts, providing a media perspective on creative ideas.
- Stay Cool Under Pressure: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining composure under stress.
- Be Agile: Travel to client sites, headquarters, or staff events as needed, and collaborate effectively across different cities and time zones.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of PR agency experience focusing on media outreach and strategy.
- A degree in PR, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in industry tools such as Muckrack, Meltwater, Podchaser, and Critical Mention.
- A network of traditional and non-traditional media contacts, including key influencers and decision-makers.
Pay
The target range of base compensation for this role is $70K - 85K. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including skill set, level of experience, and location.
