Manager, Mechatronics Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of mechanical and mechatronics engineers in designing, developing, and testing robotic actuation systems. In this role, you will oversee the entire hardware development lifecycle—from creating detailed designs and simulations to testing and validation—ensuring systems meet performance and safety standards. You will serve as a technical leader, fostering collaboration across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software teams to deliver integrated robotic solutions at scale.

Responsibilities

• Manage team recruitment and development.
• Deliver multiple projects from concept to production.
• Provide technical oversight on system design, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee the hardware development lifecycle, including design, simulation, testing, and validation.
• Ensure robotic actuation systems meet performance and safety standards.
• Foster collaboration across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software teams.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in mechanical design and rotary actuation hardware.
• Experience with system integration and managing high-volume manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with CAD tools like SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Product development experience for large-scale production (preferred).
• Experience in robotic systems, sensor integration, and control fundamentals (preferred).
• Leadership experience in engineering teams (preferred).
• Background in design for reliability, safety, electronics packaging, and rapid prototyping (advantageous).
