About the role
The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults on action plans to achieve departmental and overall store responsibilities, and serves as a supervisor in the Store Manager's absence.
Responsibilities
- Affords knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
- Ensures the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures.
- Assists in managing a team and keeping up with overall goals and profits.
- Performs general administrative duties as needed.
- Assists in promoting and selling services and merchandise.
- Protects the company's assets and financial information.
- Supervises employees in the absence of the Store Manager.
Requirements
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
- One to three years of customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
- Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
- Passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in each product area or department in the store.
- Promotes each sale and/or promotion.
- Serves as an ambassador of Hibbett I City Gear creating a unique customer experience.
