Manager In Training (Part Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Store Manager in setting and achieving departmental and overall store goals.
• Assist in inventory management, sales, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Oversee all store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Guide employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability.
• Ensure quality customer service and report trends to the Store Manager.
• Perform general administrative duties and train in the Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers and handling multiple transactions.
• Promote and sell merchandise, adhering to company policies and standards.
• Protect company assets and financial information through accurate internal controls.

Requirements

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• One to three years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Passion for outstanding customer service and merchandise sales.
