Manager In Training-Part Time

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Store Manager in setting and executing departmental and overall store responsibilities, including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume full responsibility of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Guide employees and customers in all departments as necessary.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability in all departments.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained across the store.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed and be trained in the Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Provide extraordinary customer service, including helping customers as they enter the store and managing multiple customers during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Practice and uphold all Hibbett I City Gear policies, procedures, and standards.
• Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and reporting any potential fraud risks to management.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• One to three years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and achieve overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks independently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Team-player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
