About the role
The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults on action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.
Responsibilities
- Affords knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
- Ensures each department’s responsibilities and standards are completed.
- Monitors inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability.
- Provides extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
- Sells and promotes services and merchandise.
- Enforces all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Protects company assets and financial information.
- Supervises employees in the absence of the Store Manager.
Requirements
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage a team and achieve overall goals and profits.
- Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
