About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Store Manager in setting and achieving departmental and overall store goals.
  • Determine methods and approaches to achieve store objectives.
  • Promote merchandise and services within the store.
  • Assure quality customer service is maintained.
  • Manage inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Train and guide employees in all departments.
  • Report to the Store Manager on inventory movement and customer trends.
  • Perform general administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
  • One to three years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

  • Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
