About the role
The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Store Manager in setting and achieving departmental and overall store goals.
- Determine methods and approaches to achieve store objectives.
- Promote merchandise and services within the store.
- Assure quality customer service is maintained.
- Manage inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Train and guide employees in all departments.
- Report to the Store Manager on inventory movement and customer trends.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
- One to three years of customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
