Manager In Training (Part Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Aid in asset control and action plan establishment
• Assume full store responsibility in Store Manager absence
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses for profitability
• Direct staff to complete departmental responsibilities and standards
• Inform Store Manager of inventory movements and customer trends
• Maintain high-quality customer service
• Perform general administrative duties as needed
• Practice and uphold company policies and procedures
• Protect company assets and financial information

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
• 1-3 years of customer service experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage a team and achieve goals and profits
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
• Team player passionate about customer service and merchandise selling
