About the role
The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults on action plans, and serves as a supervisor in the Store Manager's absence.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Store Manager in establishing action plans for departmental and overall store responsibilities.
- Assume responsibility for the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
- Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
- Maintain quality customer service.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed.
- Practice and uphold all Hibbett I City Gear policies, procedures, and standards.
- Protect the company's assets and financial information.
- Supervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager.
Requirements
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
- Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
- Team-player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
