Manager in Training (Part-Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Aid in asset control and action plan establishment
• Assume responsibility for the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses for profitability
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained
• Perform general administrative duties and train in Store Manager's responsibilities
• Produce and deliver exceptional customer service
• Promote and sell merchandise
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards
• Protect company assets and financial information
• Supervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager

Requirements

• Experience in retail, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
• 1-3 years of customer service experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage a team and achieve goals and profits
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Team-player passionate about customer service and selling merchandise
