About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance in asset management and departmental responsibilities.
• Assists in inventory, sales statistics, and expense management to ensure profitability.
• Directs staff to complete departmental responsibilities and standards.
• Communicates with customers and provides exceptional customer service.
• Trains and guides employees in all departments.
• Assists in managing a team and achieving overall goals and profits.
• Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Protects company assets and financial information through internal control procedures.

Requirements

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• One to three years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
