About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Aid in asset management and departmental responsibilities.
• Assist in developing and implementing action plans to achieve store goals.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and customers across all departments.
• Ensure inventory, sales statistics, and expenses align with profitability objectives.
• Communicate with the Store Manager on inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and quality.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed, including carrying out supervisory responsibilities.
• Offer exceptional customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
• Protect company assets and financial information through adherence to internal control procedures.
• Supervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Experience in a retail environment, particularly in footwear and athletic apparel.
• One to three years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Passion for outstanding customer service and merchandise sales.
