About the Role
The Manager of HR Technology leads global teams responsible for the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise HR technology solutions, with primary accountability for payroll and time management platforms. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient solutions that support workforce operations across multiple regions. The position oversees system strategy, project execution, vendor coordination, issue resolution, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure reliable service delivery and alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct end-to-end design, architecture, implementation, enhancement, and production support for HR Technology solutions, with primary responsibility for Core HR processes in SAP HCM and Payroll and Time Management systems including UKG and ADP.
- Lead and manage global teams, including internal resources, external partners, and cross-functional support teams, to deliver HR technology initiatives and ongoing operational support.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and other business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, operational challenges, and business requirements, and translate them into scalable technology solutions.
- Collaborate with development, integration, security, and infrastructure teams to design and deliver technical solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and business priorities.
- Maintain compliance with applicable controls and regulations, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley, payroll-related controls, data privacy requirements, and other internal governance standards.
- Create, review, and maintain system lifecycle documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures, including SOPs, work instructions, process documentation, configuration documentation, and job aids.
- Participate in and lead activities related to change management, release management, issue resolution, and change control processes.
- Monitor system performance, support escalations, and service quality, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance user experience, operational efficiency, and system reliability.
- Support vendor relationship management for key HR technology platforms, including coordination with UKG, ADP, SAP support teams, and other external partners as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Systems.
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience with 4 or more full implementations of SAP required.
- Agile and Scrum Certification, ITIL, and SAP Certification preferred.
Skills
- Significant experience in HR Technology including leadership responsibility for design, delivery, and production support.
- Strong experience supporting and/or implementing SAP HCM.
- Proven experience in the implementation and support of Payroll & Time Management solutions.
- Experience in SuccessFactors Talent Management modules and integrations with SAP HCM preferred.
- Experience leading and managing global and geographically dispersed teams in a complex enterprise environment.
- Experience managing production support within a structured service delivery model, including incident management, problem management, change control, testing, and release coordination.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, controls, and documentation requirements for HR and payroll systems.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership across a global environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Travel Requirements
Up to 20% travel: approximately 52 business days per year.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary—Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
