Manager - Home Medical Equipment (Full-Time, Days)
Position Summary
The Manager is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the daily business operations of Home Medical Equipment. The Manager has direct reporting responsibility for the Home Medical Equipment department. This includes direct responsibility for all staff evaluations, regulatory requirements, financial performance and quality of service delivery. The Manager is responsible for carrying out assignments in a manner to assure success in financial management, human resources management, business development, leadership, quality and operational management objectives. The Manager participates in program development and unit performance improvement.
Strong analytical skills are required to provide assistance with departmental financial performance review, budget preparations, and other special projects. Must have the ability to interpret financial, statistical and operational data. Must have strong computer skills and experience with spreadsheet, word processing, and database applications.
Minimum EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Health Care Administration or related field.
- Desired Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field.
- Experience in the Durable Medical Equipment field.
- Experience in billing, revenue cycle, accounting.
- One-year healthcare management experience.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes is necessary as well as the ability to successfully integrate these into practice for the assigned unit.
- Must have knowledge of or ability to learn financial management and reporting, quality improvement processes, and human resources management.
- Must be able to effectively monitor, evaluate and administer the resources of their assigned area, and make substantiated recommendations regarding resource allocation needs for future planning purposes.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally both one-on-one and in groups.
- Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information and problem solve.
- Must demonstrate technical competence.
