Team And Position Overview

The Global Talent Development team is responsible for developing and retaining organizational talent through learning initiatives, manager development, performance enablement and career planning support. Through evidence-based learning and development programs, performance enablement practices and talent management initiatives, the Global Talent Development team aims to drive employee growth aligned with CHAI's mission and strategic priorities to build a capable, motivated and future-ready workforce.

The team is seeking a fixed-term (6-month) Manager, Global Talent Development to provide support and coverage during the Senior Manager's parental leave, and to lead efforts to meet key deliverables related to employee performance and development in 2026. Specifically, this person will play a crucial role in driving forward the implementation of several key initiatives currently underway, measuring impact and partnering with key stakeholders across CHAI's matrix to foster a culture of continuous learning.

This position will report to the Global Talent Director and will oversee the Senior Associate, Global Talent Development, based in Zimbabwe. They will also act as the primary liaison for the part-time HR Consultant. Given the global nature of this role’s responsibilities and remit, candidates must be available to start work at 8am ET. The base location for this role is the US. Candidates must have valid work authorization.

Performance Enablement Support

  • Support the final stages and reporting outcomes of a Performance Enablement pilot (concluding in June), applying evaluation frameworks to assess effectiveness and inform iterations.
  • Play a leading role in coordinating the Performance Enablement 2026 adoption process, working with HR Business Partners and ensuring seamless support from Global Talent Development on the backend.
  • Iterating the Performance Enablement tools and materials based on pilot outcomes and learner feedback.
  • Designing and executing a train-the-trainer plan for relevant workshops, drawing on adult learning theory to ensure facilitator readiness and co-facilitating workshops with HR Business Partners as appropriate.
  • Tracking and reporting on adoption rates to help CHAI meet the target 50% org-wide implementation this year.
  • Support efforts to embed CHAI’s new Baseline Performance Standards, specifically through the delivery of related training programs and coaching/support for all staff on how these are to be applied.

Manager Development Program Support

  • Support the finalization of the design and development of a new Manager Development Program, applying instructional design methodologies to ensure content is engaging, outcomes-driven, and measurable.
  • Project manage the delivery of three in-person global cohorts this year. This will include Ensuring all program materials — including facilitator guides, participant materials and learning assessments — are ready for the delivery of the first cohort in Q3.
  • Executing a train-the-trainer plan that equips co-facilitators with the knowledge and confidence to deliver content consistently, while allowing for organizational/culture context adjustments where appropriate.
  • Co-facilitating modules (some international travel required).
  • Overseeing all cohort logistics, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for participants and co-facilitators.
  • Monitoring and evaluating learning outcomes using established measurement models to inform future program iterations.

Other Support

  • Support the finalization of the L&D strategy and the creation of a 2027-28 roadmap for delivery, informed by organizational needs analysis and learning best practices.
  • Lead the instructional design review of the People Management Learning Community Program, ensuring content, structure, and delivery methods reflect both successful current practices and new learning principles in time for an early 2027 cohort launch.
  • Leverage existing authoring tools to maintain the CHAI Learning Platform (a light-touch LMS) including the development of new content that supports talent development initiatives.
  • Design and deliver live, virtual workshops from the existing L&D repository for CHAI teams.
  • Facilitate coaching, mentoring and development planning initiatives.
  • Regularly monitor metrics and feedback mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of L&D activities; use data to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate ROI.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Partners, People Operations, Talent Acquisition and DEI teams to ensure integrated people strategies.
