Manager, Global Sponsorship New Business Development

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute partnerships with blue-chip brands to reach Sponsorship revenue goals
  • Cultivate global and local market category prospects through category analysis and market research, focusing on international markets
  • Establish and build relationships with key external contacts, including corporate decision makers and influencers in the sports marketing and agency world
  • Pursue prospects through contact strategy, development, and delivery of sales presentations, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Contribute innovative thinking and fresh ideas to lead to new revenue-generating sponsorship opportunities
  • Contribute to cross-functional working groups consisting of key internal stakeholders to develop customized marketing platforms aligned with prospective partner objectives
  • Develop and write strategic, customized presentations and partnership proposals for prospects
  • Effectively maintain sales pipeline and reporting documents, as well as other duties as directed
  • Help manage Sponsorship Business Development Senior Coordinator contributions to the team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of sponsorship sales and/or business development experience at league, team, agency, and/or company level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence across all levels both internally and externally
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Energetic, self-starter with a passion for uncovering synergies between Fortune 500 brands and the NFL
  • Strong knowledge of sports marketing and/or sponsorship landscape
  • Proficient in conducting industry research, prospecting, outreach, pitch ideation, and proposal development
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence across all levels, both internally and externally
  • Experienced in leveraging your network to initiate and develop relationships with senior-level marketing executives

Travel as needed for new business meetings (expected 10 percent of time)

Expected 40-hour work week with limited weekend travel

Salary / Pay Range

$95,000—$110,000 USD
