About the role
At Genesis, we support the Senior Manager in delivering executive-ready FP&A, forecasting, and financial performance reporting that informs decisions at the highest levels. This role helps power the financial engine behind Genesis.
Responsibilities
- Manage development of annual budget plans and maintain annual forecasts and expense targets for the Business Unit (BU).
- Cook up the Genesis Division’s annual budget.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of the Genesis Division’s annual budget.
- Manage monthly forecasts by working with internal and external stakeholders to prepare reports for review and timely submission.
- Prepare BU financial status reports, including analysis of actuals versus budget and year-over-year results.
- Lead monthly and year-end accrual preparation, coordinating with BU, vendors, and agency finance/billing to ensure accuracy and resolve issues.
- Partner with Accounting to ensure month-end and year-end financials are accurate and compliant.
- Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis as part of the month-end close.
- Manage creation, entry, tracking, and processing of Purchase Requests, POs, Change Notices, Check Requests, payments, and reimbursements.
- Interface with vendors to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Oversee billing activities and implement process improvements for the BU and Division.
- Serve as liaison between Genesis, Hyundai departments, and Finance/Accounting, advising the BU on budget activities.
- Support procurement, projects, business cases, and resolution of budget and spending concerns.
- Meet constrained deadlines and ensure timely completion of monthly reports and ad hoc projects.
- Build strong working relationships with partners, vendors, agencies, and internal teams.
- Use independent judgment and discretion in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain accountability for decisions involving hundreds of millions of dollars.
- Provide analysis, critical thinking, and recommendations for process improvements.
- Provide training, supervision, direction, and evaluation to BU and less experienced staff.
Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate required.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Six or more years of work experience which at least five years of directly related experience in financial management/planning required.
- Three or more years of experience developing and maintaining multi-million dollar budgets required.
- Knowledge of ERP Tools (such as SAP) required.
- Experience managing a team of direct reports or contractors, preferred.
- Experience with Tableau specifically building dashboards, preferred.
- Agency and/or vendor experience is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

Pay
Compensation Range: $91,000.00 - $130,000.00 annual base salary
