Manager for Career Data, Technology, and Engagement

About the Role

Manages the day-to-day operations of a function on the team by implementing and growing the “Building Professional Networks” initiative to support student success outcomes. Oversees the functionality, adoption strategy, and user experience of Gator Network in partnership with the UF Alumni Association and Student Government to ensure meaningful engagement among students, alumni, and campus partners.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees building university community network members to support professional conversations for success, including recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of faculty, staff, alumni, mentoring, peer mentoring programs, and employer contributors who provide blogs, relevant events/programs, and resources.
  • Monitors engagement analytics, user behavior trends, and platform utilization to inform workflow refinement and adoption strategies.
  • Manages vendor relationships for assigned technologies, ensuring implementation of system updates and adherence to best practices.
  • Serves as supervisor for direct and indirect functions to implement work.
  • Acts as a point of contact for faculty and staff in the Division portfolio and campus to support initiatives aiding student success, departmental goals, experiential learning, professional development engagements, and post-graduation outcomes through outreach presentations, workshops, office support hours, and other efforts.
  • Creates internal resources and delivers training to equip faculty and staff to effectively integrate assigned initiatives into programs, workshops, and 1:1 engagement.
  • Builds relationships and creates connections across departments to advance the university's overall mission.
  • Maintains regular communication with portfolio partners and attends meetings for information exchange and integration into programs and services.
  • Establishes internal best practices, supports CIP staff, and recommends system enhancements based on data and user feedback.
  • Provides individual and group career coaching services to University of Florida undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from all majors and colleges; occasionally supports alumni.
  • Facilitates career education workshops, classroom presentations, and tabling opportunities associated with the assigned initiative area and related career development topics.
  • Engages with campus partners (alumni, staff, faculty, employers, families) to promote student success, interventions, readiness tools, and professional development programming.
  • Customizes programs and initiatives using existing departmental and marketing resources.
  • Tracks data and reporting related to job functions and engagement responsibilities, maintaining quantitative and qualitative data for assessment, reporting, and usage.
  • Creates regular reporting structures and summaries to highlight trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and support decision-making for leadership.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of career development trends and best practices.
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Director and higher authorities in the department and division.
  • Attends departmental sessions, staff meetings, and one-on-one supervision meetings to ensure clear communication with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Supports department, portfolio, and/or division-wide events, committees, and programs.
  • Lives out unit and institutional values in all aspects of job function.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate field and two years of experience or a bachelor's degree and four years of related experience.
  • Certified Career Services Practitioner (CCSP) within your first year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Two (2) years minimum in stakeholder engagement, marketing, sales, career development, career counseling, or HR. Experience working inclusively.
  • Knowledge: Industry relations, employment trends, student development, career services, marketing, and outreach strategies.
  • Skills: Computer applications, facilitative skills, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, listening skills, helping skills, relationship management, and program development.
  • Abilities: Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.

Pay

$54,000.00
