Responsibilities
- Support the administration and performance management of owned and managed asset portfolios.
- Cook up and maintain operational, financial, and portfolio reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects involving multiple business units and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with finance, commercial, operations, legal, engineering, and other teams to support business objectives.
- Analyze portfolio performance and develop recommendations to improve business outcomes.
- Support acquisition, disposition, investment, and asset optimization initiatives.
- Aid with forecasting, planning, budgeting, and business performance reviews.
- Manage documentation, governance processes, approvals, and stakeholder communications.
- Develop presentations, reports, and materials for leadership, business partners, and governance committees.
- Monitor market trends, customer activity, and industry developments to support decision-making.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts and system enhancement initiatives.
- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams, external partners, and asset owners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- Experience managing projects, portfolios, assets, operations, finance, or business processes.
- Ability to analyze information and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working across multiple functions and collaborating with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of lease structuring and accounting, other deal experience.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with a focus on detail and reporting metrics.
- Rail knowledge is a plus.
Other
- Travel requirements are flexible and will evolve as the individual defines his or her approach to the role.
- Minimal travel to maintenance facilities and industry committee meetings will be required.
- This position is based in the Chicago Corporate office and considered hybrid with 60% in office attendance required.
