Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain executive dashboards and business intelligence reports
- Create financial and operational KPI scorecards for executive leadership and Board
- Build self-service analytics capabilities enabling business users to access insights independently
- Create automated reporting solutions reducing manual effort and improving accuracy
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities
- Create data visualizations that tell compelling stories and drive action
- Design and implement predictive analytics and forecasting models
- Evaluate new financial technologies and recommend solutions to enhance capabilities
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution with IT and vendors
- Maintain report library and documentation of data sources and business logic
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization solutions
- Manage relationships with software vendors and external consultants
- Lead or participate in financial system implementations, migrations, and major upgrades
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline financial processes and increase efficiency
- Identify automation opportunities across financial close, reporting, planning, and analysis
- Design and optimize month-end close processes and reporting cycles
- Develop automated data validation and reconciliation processes
- Create workflow automation for approvals, notifications, and routing
- Eliminate manual data manipulation and spreadsheet-based processes
- Standardize processes and reporting templates across organization
- Document process improvements and maintain standard operating procedures
- Measure and track efficiency gains and time savings from automation initiatives
Requirements
- Experience implementing or significantly enhancing financial systems
- Proven track record developing dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions
- Background in financial close processes, consolidation, and reporting
- Expert proficiency in at least one major BI platform
- Advanced dashboard design and data visualization
- Report development and distribution
- Data modeling and semantic layer design
- Advanced proficiency for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Expert-level skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA, complex formulas)
- Understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, data marts
- Working knowledge of statistics and analytical methods
- Solid understanding of financial statements, GAAP, and accounting principles
- Knowledge of financial close processes, consolidations, and reporting
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Retail/grocery financial metrics (same-store sales, gross margin, EBITDA, store P&L) knowledge
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Attention to detail
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Process mapping and workflow optimization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong presentation and visualization skills
- Collaborative approach working with Finance, IT, and business partners

Qualifications
- 4 year/Bachelors Degree
- 5 minimum years related experience, 2 minimum years experience in management, supervisory, and/or leadership experience
