About the role
The Manager, Facility Operations oversees the Facility Service Team to ensure all venues associated with Sporting Kansas City are clean and present the most fan-friendly atmosphere in the league. This role is integral to the Operations team and aligns with Sporting KC's brand purpose: "We create memories through personalized experiences with our Club."
Responsibilities
- Forecast long-term cleaning projects annually.
- Lead and oversee work completed by the entire Building Services Team.
- Assist in overseeing Event Services work and Event Services Attendants.
- Manage cleaning schedules to ensure thorough cleaning and proper disposal of trash after events.
- Conduct frequent walkthroughs to address maintenance needs.
- Determine if rooms are cleaned to the right level and are presentable.
- Maintain Sporting Park's cleanliness and safety for guests.
- Communicate with the Operations Team and other associates to ensure alignment and goal achievement.
- Schedule high window cleaning and compactor emptying appointments.
- Provide suggestions for improving job efficiency through equipment purchases.
- Support Sporting Kansas City's mission, vision, and purpose.
- Represent Sporting Kansas City professionally at all times.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Match Day Responsibilities
- Act as a representative of Sporting Kansas City at home matches, engaging with guests and creating Magic Moments for fans.
- Schedule the correct number of associates for games and pressure wash the concourse area.
- Conduct a full walk-through of Sporting Park to identify areas needing attention.
- Lead Building Services Attendants to keep them busy.
- Respond to radio calls and provide timely solutions to issues.
- Oversee post-game cleaning crews to ensure they complete a pre-determined checklist.
- Check post-game tasks for completion and sign off associates once they are done.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality, or another related field preferred.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Building Services or similar professional environments.
- Previous experience in event management.
- Capacity to adapt to the unique and vibrant Kansas City market.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Spanish language fluency preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Abilities
- Required to sit, stand, and walk.
- Use hands to operate and feel objects, tools, or controls.

- Occasionally lift, carry, or drag up to one-hundred (100) pounds if necessary.

- Work near moving mechanical parts.
- Understand and practice safe techniques to reduce the risk of electrical shock.
- Associate will be required to travel to various Sporting Kansas City facilities.
- Role will be performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including frequent exposure to the sun and heat.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours and game days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
