Manager - Facilities Operations
About the role
Responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient shift operation and facility maintenance of the distribution center, ensuring the facility operates effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manages the Facilities Maintenance team and preventative and corrective maintenance programs for the building and grounds, including maintaining all facility and equipment records.
- PARTNERS EFFECTIVELY WITH OPERATIONS LEADERS TO COMPLETE TASKS WITH MINIMAL IMPACT ON WORKFLOW.
- COMMUNICATES WITH INTERNAL BUSINESS PARTNERS AS REQUIRED TO ENSURE ALL ISSUES ARE RESOLVED.
- CREATES MAINTENANCE PLANS AND SCHEDULES IN SUPPORT OF DC GOALS AND OBJECTIVES.
- IDENTIFIES NEW METHODS AND OPTIONS FOR ACCOMPLISHING MAINTENANCE PRIORITIES.
- MANTAINS WORKFLOW EFFICIENCY BY MONITORING REPORTS, OBSERVATION, AND REDIRECTING TEAM MEMBERS TO PROBLEM AREAS.
- OVERSEES THE CMMS SYSTEM FOR CONVEYOR CONTROL, WORK ORDERS, AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT.
- MANAGES THE INVENTORY OF MATERIALS FOR EQUIPMENT AND OPERATIONS (E.G., PARTS INVENTORY FOR CONVEYORS AND POWER EQUIPMENT).
- DEVELOPS, MANAGES AND CONTROLS THE FACILITY’S MAINTENANCE BUDGET.
- SLEECTS EXTERNAL CONTRACTORS/SUPPLIERS TO PROVIDE SUPPLIES AND SERVICES IN A COST-EFFECTIVE MANNER.
- OVERSEES THE QUALITY OF WORK PERFORMED BY CONTRACTORS TO ENSURE OBLIGATIONS ARE MET.
- LEADS/PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS IDENTIFIED OR ASSIGNED.
Requirements
- Minimum Special Certifications Or Technical Skills: Computer proficiency, including MS Office Suite and other maintenance-specific systems/applications.
- Minimum Type Of Experience: The Job Requires 5+ years of related experience, including facilities maintenance experience and previous management experience in an organization of comparable scope/complexity.
Qualifications
- Advanced related diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with proven ability to read and interpret drawing, blueprints and technical resources.
- Strong time management skills, with a proven ability to adjust to changing priorities and operational demands.
- Strong verbal and written communications abilities to partner with internal and external parties at all levels.
- Practices “Respectful Workplace” leadership at all times.
- Knowledge/understanding of DC/warehouse operations and concepts.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, particularly in the context of a multi-shift operation.
- Available for occasional business travel for meetings, project work, training, etc.

- Proven ability to oversee the CMMS system for conveyor control, work orders, and inventory management.
- Proven ability to manage the inventory of materials for equipment and operations.
- Proven ability to develop, manage and control the facility’s maintenance budget.
- Proven ability to select external contractors/suppliers to provide supplies and services in a cost-effective manner.
- Proven ability to oversee the quality of work performed by contractors to ensure obligations are met.
- Proven ability to lead/perform other duties and projects as identified or assigned.

Pay
Total Base Pay Range For This Position: $75,900.00 - $102,200.00
This position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus based on performance.
Schedule
Regular exposure to moderate noise level from DC conveyor/sortation system and powered industrial equipment when in the warehouse.
Frequent standing/walking, both in the office area and within the warehouse.
Occasional sitting when working in an office environment.
Occasional reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and twisting.
Regular lifting/carrying of items of varying weight to perform tasks.
Repetitive motion and movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Work Environment: Based in a climate-controlled office but will have ongoing exposure to the warehouse, which features extreme temperatures dependent on external climate and proximity to dock doors/exits.
