Manager, Engineering - Sales Planning

For our client, we are seeking a Manager Engineering - Sales Planning to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead and nurture a distributed engineering team focusing on trust and accountability
• Collaborate with Product and Design to define product strategy for Sales Planning
• Deliver customer-facing features across quota planning and territory design while ensuring usability and reliability
• Mentor engineers at various career stages and foster opportunities for technical leadership
• Establish technical direction and architectural guidelines in collaboration with engineers
• Enhance team execution via improved planning and management of dependencies
• Engage in on-call rotation to resolve critical issues quickly

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience as an engineer or engineering manager
• 2+ years of engineering management experience, including people management and cross-functional execution
• Experience building and scaling early-stage or newly launched products
• Strong product judgment with the ability to navigate ambiguous, high-impact problems
• Proven track record leading teams that ship reliable customer-facing systems
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Comfortable operating in startup environments with evolving requirements
