We are looking for an experienced E/E Systems Engineering Manager who is responsible for overseeing a team of about 5 engineers to ensure and guide engineering design, problem resolution, and other duties related to the design and manufacturing of parts and sub-systems. This role involves direct influence on the overall design, development, and integration of systems for both existing and new projects.

Responsibilities

  • Own/Define/Manage E/E Systems team processes, including automated quality assurance of team deliverables

  • Champion E/E Systems specific requirements across the engineering organization

  • Lead and manage SCRUM activities for the team in task management systems such as Jira while planning, tracking, and reporting on E/E systems tasks and releases

  • Create and manage Statements of Work with engineering contracting groups and prototype part vendors as needed

  • Lead and oversee team operations including completion of performance management and reviews with direct reports

  • Interpret customer requirements and map requirements onto existing or new designs

  • Own E/E design in Zuken E3 from schematic development through detailed harness design and release on assigned programs, including design for manufacturability and serviceability, correct wire sizing, derating, and circuit protection, and traceability between the logical/schematic source and the released physical harness to ensure design quality

  • Serve as the harness integration owner, merging electrical changes from multiple engineering teams into a single, coordinated harness, delivered as a formal release or redline, for the build and field technician teams

  • Demonstrated proven experience leading a successful team of engineers

  • Significant experience in the direct design of components including Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Service (DFS), and cost-efficiency (Value Engineering)

  • Significant Experience with "hands-on" troubleshooting, product assembly, prototyping, sing, and validation activities (on site and at remote locations)

  • Demonstrated ability to apply electrical design fundamentals

  • Experienced with high voltage system design and necessary safety guidelines

  • Experienced with low voltage harness design

  • Experienced in generating harnesses and electrical schematics using Zuken E3 (or equivalent ECAD)

  • Experience with SAE/USCAR-21 (electrical crimp performance) is desirable
