Principal Accountabilities
- Define and specify electrical systems and controls for console applications
- Develop and ensure execution of various tasks related to engineering projects including schematic capture, PCB layout, floor plan, component placement and design for manufacture & EMCo
- Own full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments
- Collaborate with individuals and other departments within the organization, outside suppliers, consultants, and other sources to ensure successful implementation of company objectives
- Directly supervise engineers, set direction and determine resource allocation
- Lead development of products from development through design validation to production and sustaining ensuring they meet performance, quality, cost and schedule goals
Required Skills/Capabilities
- Project management skills related to resource management and conducting meetings
- Ability to read and analyze electrical/electronic circuits/schematics is required
- Experience problem solving and troubleshooting is required, along with ability to train others in these skills
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tools, software and organizations
Education And Experience
- BSEE or equivalent required/preferred
- 8+ years of electrical engineering experience required
- 5+ years of experience designing analog and/or power electronics is required
- 2-5 years of people leadership either professionally or volunteer is preferred
- Experience with console peripherals in summary is a plus
