About the Role

Responsible for the collection and analysis of data on a department-wide basis across multiple or large research projects. Plans, schedules, tracks, and reports on all current projects, establishes work goals, and oversees data collection and analysis at the project level. Manages customer support functions, tracks customer problems and system failure rates, and assists in the education and training of subordinate employees. Handles human resource management for assigned staff, including interviewing, hiring, performance monitoring, and disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

  • Support data management, monitoring, and reporting activities across a diverse portfolio of research projects.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring reports and conduct data quality checks.
  • Manage data within REDCap, including building, maintaining, and monitoring REDCap databases and forms.
  • Work with API-based integrations between applications and systems, including understanding standardized HTTP methods, authentication, and defined endpoints.
  • Collaborate with research, clinical, and community teams to ensure accurate, timely, and secure data collection and reporting.
  • Travel to support on-site, community-based participatory research and/or clinical activities.
  • Projects supported include Participant Access to Research Core initiatives, the All of Us Research Program, Alabama Genomic Health Initiative, Live HealthSmart Alabama, and community- and cancer-related research projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of related experience (work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement).

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams (required).
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and Microsoft BI applications (highly desirable).
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor, teach, and train others.
  • Ability to accumulate and analyze data.

Pay

$55,180 – $89,670 per year.

Schedule

Day/1st shift, hybrid-eligible.
