Manager, Construction Project Sales

About the Role

This position is accountable for the development of strategy, programs, and personnel for Technical Service in support of overall strategic sales goals. This includes development and maintenance of training programs and presentation materials, as well as implementation of a strategic direction in concert with Lead 2030 strategy. Responsible for driving activities of the field Technical Service team and influencing Sales Management to ensure sustainable and profitable growth of Hilti Fastening & Protection specified products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitability across the project P&L with responsibility for resource investment and customer programs while understanding financial implications
  • Develop customer engagement strategy while identifying long-term account development plans
  • Lead the assigned Strategic Business Developers or Project Manager team toward over-proportional growth and own tailored project execution
  • Utilize direct and indirect resources to maximize customer share of wallet on construction projects
  • Demonstrate strong executive presence to lead complex customer discussions and navigate strategic initiatives
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex customer opportunities systematically
  • Engage in cross-functional problem-solving with other Hilti stakeholders on customer-specific needs/requests
  • Leverage strong knowledge of Hilti processes and navigate the matrixed organization effectively
  • Act on behalf of Hilti within the customer environment, using Hilti expertise to improve customer solution choices
  • Lead project capture coordination and provide clear, consistent communication to all involved parties
  • Demonstrate competent written and oral communication with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Hilti experience (required)
  • Master’s Degree (preferred)
  • Engineering Degree (preferred)
  • People Leadership Experience
  • Business Development experience (preferred)
  • Ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders (e.g., HUB, MOs, customers) (required)
  • Capacity to conceptualize an idea and take it through to a tangible solution (required)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills (required)
  • Creativity and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to be both a team player and a team leader
