Manager, Collections

Leads the credit & collections management for the Pro Trade Credit program, focusing on developing and managing processes for the trade credit services team and customer support functions related to existing customer credit and collections management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Pro Operations, Accounting, and Controls to ensure program adherence to service and compliance/control related objectives (20%).
• Drive results by establishing and assessing financial and operational/quality outcomes of collections and receivables management against predetermined goals. Determine team structures and credit/collections strategies to meet operationally established goals (25%).
• Plan and align credit and collections processes, strategy, and support functions for the commercial Pro Trade Credit program (30%).
• Oversee development and execution of underwriting and collections processes and performance, ensuring proper program administration and support levels (25%).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field (required).
• 6+ years of work experience (required).
• 3+ years of leadership experience (required).

Skills

• Understanding of commercial underwriting and credit program administration principles.
• People and team management skills.
• Credit and customer service/call center management skills, including staffing, collections, and receivables management.
• Knowledge of lien-based lending and effective receivables management strategies.
• Ability to leverage data and analysis to build business cases and communicate effectively.
• Strategic thinking and sound decision-making.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Project management skills.
• Negotiation and dispute resolution skills for internal and external customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial trade credit management and/or supervisory capacity in credit servicing and underwriting teams.

Schedule

• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements

• Mostly sedentary work with frequent opportunity to move about.
• On rare occasions, may need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions

• Located in a comfortable indoor area.
• Unpleasant conditions are infrequent and not objectionable.
