Responsibilities

• Maintains operational responsibility for one or more nursing units on a 24-hour basis.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in all settings in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
• Ensures the provision of safe patient care and compliance with department strategic objectives.
• Participates in performance and practice improvement activities.
• Delivers evidence-based nursing care reflecting the philosophies, missions, vision, and values of the organization and nursing department.

Requirements

• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a Bachelor’s degree in another field, if willing to begin a program leading to a Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Nursing within 12 months of hire and completed within 3 years.
• BLS certification.
• National certification by the end of the 2nd year in the position.
• Minimum of two years of progressive clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing preferred; a master's may be mandatory if required by a regulatory agency.
